2004, September - Las Gaviotas, Mexico

Las Gaviotas, Baja California, Mexico
Mike and Letty invited us to go to Las Gaviotas, Baja. The cool ocean air and mist were a welcome change to our hot dry Southern California weather. We shopped along the sides of the road at the local "tienditas" (little stores). The guys all bought Ray Bans for $10 so we called them Ray Beans because I'm sure that they are knock offs. The ladies sat on pigs (3 little pigs) we are so cute! Letty and Mike bought a cement round outdoor table with 2 benches that have a tile top. I thought the guys were going to have a heart attack because it must have weighed over 500lbs.
We ate Ceviche on sopes and fresh shrimp from the ocean the fish monger had just caught for a snack after the girls went swimming and the guys played golf. We had the most beautiful view of the ocean from the house and a wonderful front porch that we played cards on.
We went to Puerto Nuevo for dinner in this ocean front town full of shops and restaurants where the waiters stands in front and tells you how big their lobsters are and what a great deal you can get if you eat at their place. They are all fighting for your business so they try to out do each other.

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!
Letty's Birthday - September - 2004

What could be better than a Chocolate Cake baked by your son-in-law! Fred out did himself! Teresa made Letty cry over playing party games. Apparently Letty really doesn't like to play Pictionary and Teresa made her play.

Orange County Fair - July 2004
"Jammin at the Fair"

Terry, Ester, Teresa, Ramiro, Ray and Carol met at the Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, we walked around, talked and got to know each other. We had a great time and talked about going again next year. Let's make this an annual event!
